: Medical Laboratory Technology is the fourth largest group of health care. MLT is a branch of medical science responsible for performing laboratory investigations relating to diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. There’s a worldwide shortage of medical laboratory technologists, as the technologist’s role will continue to change and expand. To fill this space in market, NIOS has developed a course “Diploma in Medical Laboratory technology (DMLT)” with the basic aim to provide knowledge and training to the learners so that they can work in various lab settings. Such professionals are typically recruited as Medical Lab Technicians, Technologists etc. to help physicians diagnose, treat, and prevent disease. Medical lab.technician can perform variety of specialized tests, prepare specimens for analysis and interpreting results.
